As a preview to its 2019 meeting devoted to the issues "Fiscalité et inégalités/Steuern und Ungleichheit", the Swiss Society for Economic and Social History organizes a "Meet the Author" with Isaac William Martin, chair of the Department of Sociology at the University of California - San Diego. Professor Martin studies politics and inequality, with aparticular focus on the history and impact of fiscal development. His works include Rich People's Movements (Oxford 2013) and The Permanent Tax Revolt (Stanford 2008). He is also the editor of The New Fiscal Sociology (Cambridge 2009), with Ajay Mehrotra and Monica Prasad.
